How to use WhatsApp Business API?

There are three easy steps to consider as you get started. Keep reading to understand them in detail.
Step 1: Prepare Account – First things first, it’s obvious you will need a WhatsApp business account. It is your first asset that you will need to prep before you hop onto the other steps.
Step 2: Install the WhatsApp Business API Client — Download and install the API client for WhatsApp Business. You can update your application settings after your client is operational.
Step 3: Begin utilizing the client — With an API call to /account, you can register your phone number, and with a call to /messages, you can send a text message.
Before you begin, consider the following:
- An account using Facebook Business Manager
- A registered company
- A WhatsApp account for business
- A line of credit for your WhatsApp business account — For additional details on the billing procedure, see About WhatsApp Business API Billing.
- A command-line tool, such as Terminal, or a web-based application, such as Postman, can make curl requests.

Changes to the App Settings can be made after you’ve set up the WhatsApp Business API client. To access your WhatsApp Business API client’s various profile settings, you must complete the registration process.
- The Application Settings include options for call-backs, webhooks, on-call pagers, transmission status, and media download behaviour. We recommend you set up a Webhook URL to receive notifications of incoming messages or problems.
